Starting March 12, the Mobility and Assistive Technology Clinic will be available every 2nd Wednesday of the month, offering free services to WTH patients. This innovative clinic provides expert evaluations, equipment servicing, and access to the latest assistive technology—all conveniently located in Henry County.
What to Expect:
✅ Expert Team – Assistive Technology Professionals, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists
✅ Customized Solutions – Manual & power wheelchairs, activity chairs, sleep-safe beds, augmentative communication devices, and more
✅ On-Site Equipment Maintenance – No need for long trips; get minor repairs and specialized parts locally
Why This Clinic Matters:
Currently, patients must travel to Memphis, Nashville, or East Tennessee for similar services. Bringing these essential resources to West Tennessee eliminates the burden of long-distance travel and ensures our community has access to high-quality, specialized care right here at home.
Meet the Visionary Behind the Clinic
Debbie Jelks, Physical Therapy Coordinator at WTH Henry County, has served the community for over 30 years. She is particularly excited about the impact of assistive communication technology and pediatric solutions. Augmentative communication devices help individuals of all ages express themselves, while safe-sleep beds and activity chairsenhance safety and engagement for children.
