The Q.U.I.L.T Guild of Paris Donates Quilts to Henry County Medical Center

Lily Brown, new mother to Gabriel Marcelles, was the first at Henry County Medical Center to receive a quilt for her baby from the Paris Q.U.I.L.T guild. The guild’s new initiative is to make quilts and hats for the babies that are born at Henry County Medical Center. The guild delivers the quilts to the hospital and then the nurses and staff distribute the quilts to the new babies and their families.

“It feels really great to get something like this,” says Brown as the quilt was placed over her newborn son, Gabriel.

The Quilters Uniting in Lasting Traditions Guild is a “group of talented quilters that love to share our creations.” The guild meets once a month to share their projects and has a membership of both beginners and experienced quilters.

HCMC is excited and honored to be receiving these quilts from the guild and can’t wait to give them to many more newborn babies.
