Paris, TN – Henry County Medical Center is pleased to announce that the Partner of the Month of March in the Stars of Excellence Program is Chastity Tharpe, Food and Nutrition. Six others were named Star Partners in the program.

Tharpe was nominated by her manager for the extra work she did within her department during a period of staffing shortages. Tharpe was very willingly changed her work schedule to work very long hours (working a double shift every day) to be sure the cook’s job was completed appropriately every day. This went on for two months during the holidays while we had two other staff off on surgery leave. She never complained about the extra work and pitched in to help other people whenever she could. HCMC also awards Star partners each month.

The Star Partners for March are Donna Crowder, Food & Nutrition; Jeanie Rogers, Home Health & Hospice; Chris Wimberley, JoAnn Hoffman, and Kathy Goins, Materials Management; and Vivian Olive, HCHC Housekeeping. They were nominated for the following:

  • Crowder was nominated by her manager for working extra shifts during a time of extreme short staffing including offering to come in on her days off just to ensure duties were done appropriately and timely during the holidays.
  • Rogers was nominated by a patient for her enthusiasm and care for her during each visit.
