Paris, TN – Henry County Medical Center is pleased to announce that the Partner of the Month of January in the Stars of Excellence Program is Vallena Wyatt, Lake Haven Behavioral Center. Five others were named Star Partners in the program.
Wyatt was nominated by a fellow partner for the hard work and dedication she has to Lake Haven Behavioral Center. She started a clothing drive for the unit after seeing many patients come in with only one pair of clothes. Her efforts have made a big difference to this problem. She is always willing to lend a helping hand to staff and patients alike. H
CMC also awards Star partners each month. The Star Partners for January are Kalynn Andress, Business Office; Angie Sykes, LPN; Morna Hutcherson, 2 South; Laura Presson, Radiology Scheduling; and Denise Brogdon, Hospice. They were nominated for the following:
- Andress was nominated by a partner for her professionalism and work with patients, trying to resolve issues they may have with Blue Cross billing and/or paying their claim. She is patient and always very helpful to our patients.
- Sykes was nominated by a patient for her wonderful attitude that made her feel better even though she was sick. She helped to make her bed better and even called on her day off to check on her.
Hutcherson was nominated by a patient for the awesome care she provided her. She even stayed late to help her and was late to the Bobby Jones Concert she was attending. She was an awesome nurse who set a great example for all the younger nurses on the unit. - Presson was nominated by a partner for her above and beyond work to ensure that patient scheduling is handled efficiently and effectively. She will fix problems and move patients around to accommodate the needs of the patients without getting frustrated.
- Brogdon was nominated by a fellow partner for the love and devotion she shows to the animals of patients. On many occasions she has fostered or found permanent homes for pets of dying patients and has done it with her own money to ensure pets are spaded and neutered, groomed and kept up to date on shots.
