PARIS, TN – As the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to make news around the world, it is important for our communities we serve to know that Henry County Medical Center is continuously monitoring the situation and working closely with local and state health departments, as well as the CDC, to assure that we continue to take appropriate precautions.
With that being said, HCMC has decided to suspend our Volunteer Auxiliary program beginning Saturday, March 21. After Friday, March 20, the HCMC Pink Petal Gift Shop will no longer be open and volunteers will no longer be allowed to volunteer within the organization.
Additionally, the HCMC Volunteer Auxiliary Masquerade $5 Jewelry Sale set for April 16 and 17 has been cancelled. The goal is to have the Summer Masquerade $5 Jewelry Sale on June 18 and 19 encouraging everyone to support that event when it occurs.
“Henry County Medical Center is dedicated to the health and wellbeing of our patients, visitors, and staff and the volunteer auxiliary is no exception to that,” said Tory Daughrity, Director of Marketing and Public Relations. “Our volunteers are an asset to our organization and do so much to help with our patients and visitors, but at this time, we believe it best to suspend the program to ensure their safety.”
HCMC is making every effort to educate and inform the public on ways to remain healthy through our website and our social media outlets, including specifically rigorous and frequent hand washing.
