PARIS, TN – In ceremonies to award service recognition on Thursday, September 12, HCMC Administration recognized 80 people representing over 1,000 years of service for the organization. Each year, many HCMC partners are nominated for Partner of the Month and then become eligible for Partner of the Year.
This year it was decided that a clinical and non-clinical partner would be recognized for the dedication they give to make Henry County Medical Center the best it can be. We are pleased to announce Jon Marc Gowan, HCMC Home Health & Hospice as the 2019 Clinical Partner of the Year and Nate Williams, Information Systems as the 2019 Non-Clinical Partner of the Year.
Gowan is a frequent attendee at HCMC’s Honor Roll Breakfast held monthly for his outstanding care provided to his Home Health & Hospice patients. Numerous months of the year, patients nominate Gowan for his patience, encouragement, and extraordinary care.
Patients share kind comments like the following: “I have had several PT in the last few months and he is the best one. He made me get up and walk again. I will always be grateful. He didn’t give up on me always wanting a little bit more until I did it. Thank you Jon-Marc.”
“Jon Marc has helped get me back on my feet. He has showed compassion but at the same time encouraged me to do my therapy. He has pushed me but is always right behind me. If I ever need therapy again I would ask for him.”
“Jon Marc has been an excellent addition to our Home Health and Hospice staff. His patients really appreciate the way that he encourages them to move forward with their therapy. He works with every patient to determine what they wish to accomplish with their therapy,” said Cynthia Stigall, Director of HCMC Home Health and Hospice. “He is a very kind, compassionate therapist and is always willing to go the extra mile for his patients. He pushes his patients to accomplish more than they thought they could.”
Williams is also frequently nominated for his kind and helpful nature while working in Information Systems. During the last year, Williams was nominated by the Director of Marketing for all his help with getting the new website up and running. He assisted with many issues and helped to work out various bugs and problems. He played an important role by helping the Marketing Department in getting the website launched.
He was also nominated by a partner for his loyalty to the hospital. He continuously demonstrates trust, dedication, integrity, professionalism and loyalty in everything he has completed for many departments across the organization. If there are any hiccups in the computer system, Nate is on speed dial and is quick to assist. He helped develop the board portals we now utilize to make HCMC paperless at board meetings among many, many other information projects at HCMC.
“Nate is a great asset to the IT department and HCMC,” said Pam Ridley, Chief Information Officer at Henry County Medical Center. “He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure systems are working properly for our staff and providers. Nate is well deserving of the Partner of the Year recognition!”
