PARIS, TN – HCMC is pleased to be growing forward again with the addition of the HCMC Paris Pulmonary Clinic located in the Medical Arts Building. Joining the practice is James Carruth, MD, Pulmonology and Lachelle Moss, FNP. This new clinic opens early April and is now accepting patients.
Dr. Carruth is no stranger to West Tennessee. He was born in Hartsville, TN and grew up in Milan. Dr. Carruth’s undergraduate study was done at the University of Tennessee, Martin, graduating in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his medical degree from East Tennessee State University and completed his post graduate work, including his internship, residency, and fellowship at the University of Arkansas.
Dr. Carruth practiced in Jackson for over 20 years before deciding to accept the opportunity to move his practice to Paris. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is board eligible for certification in Pulmonary Medicine. He is also a member of the American College of Chest Physicians.
Dr. Carruth and his wife, Leslie, have one son, Kyle. He enjoys golf, boating, trail riding and spectator sports. He is a TN Vols fan and loves to travel with his family.
Lachelle Moss, FNP, has been Dr. Carruth’s Nurse Practitioner for many years and will also be joining Dr. Carruth in his new practice in Paris. Moss was born in Selmer, TN and grew up in Shiloh, TN. Moss’ RN was obtained through Jackson State in 2010. She also holds a medical laboratory science degree. She has worked as a laboratory technician, med-surg nurse, charge nurse, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation coordinator. She received her Masters of Nursing in 2016 from Frontier University in Hyden, KY where she graduated with honors. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Moss is married to Michael and enjoys travel, hiking, boating, and reading.
“We are very excited to be joining the medical community in Paris with the opening of HCMC Paris Pulmonary Clinic,” said Dr. Carruth. “Lachelle and I have a lot of our patients for long term and we work to create a family atmosphere for our patients. We try to keep the mood light and have a good time with our patients, treating them with a personal touch.”
HCMC Paris Pulmonary Clinic specialty clinic focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of pulmonary diseases in the adult patient and is located in the HCMC Medical Arts Building, 300 Hospital Circle, Suite 201. HCMC Paris Pulmonary Clinic takes most insurances including TennCare. Patients do have to have a referral from their primary care provider to schedule an appointment.
