CUTLINE #1: Partners at Henry County Medical Center were joined by Carly Wheat, Executive Director with Henry County Carl Perkins Center for The Prevention of Child Abuse.
PARIS, TN – A hospital is more than a place where people go to heal, it is a part of the community that fosters health and represents hope. This holiday season, HCMC strives to give rather than receive. It is our goal at Henry County Medical Center to serve and give back to the community we call home.
Partners at Henry County Medical Center, Henry County Healthcare Center and HCMC Clinics gathered new toys to be given to those who otherwise would not receive Christmas gifts this year. HCMC’s hope is that with our donation, hope is restored to children who need a little Christmas magic this time of year.
HCMC partners showed an outpouring of love for the children of Henry County through this project. Nearly 500 items were collected, with 319 items being donated by partners at Henry County Healthcare Center.
Henry County Carl Perkins Center for The Prevention of Child Abuse’s mission is to provide support to families in preventing and dealing with child abuse in West Tennessee and to help both parents and children meet the practical needs of preserving and improving the quality of family life.
“The annual Christmas Service Week provides a time to celebrate the gift of giving to our community,” said Lisa Casteel, CEO at Henry County Medical Center. “It allows us to continue Growing Forward to serve our community, as well as be an integral part of our community.”
