Paris, TN – Henry County Medical Center is pleased to announce that the Partner of the Month for July in the Stars of Excellence Program is Betty Jurnett, 2 South. One other was named a Star Partner in the program.
Jurnett was nominated by a fellow partner for the care she gave to her husband’s grandmother. Jurnett went out of her way to care for her, is legally blind and had significant anxiety to this new place. Multiple times on multiple days, she would calm her down and reassure her everything was going to be fine. Jurnett was constantly able to assess what she needed whether it be a family member to stop by or her taking a little extra time to take care of her. She made her feel like she was the only patient she had to care for, even though that was not the case. Jurnett was an excellent communicator with the family and helped keep family aware of when physicians and other specialists were there to see the patient to ensure the patient was not alone. Both the patient and several family members have been very complimentary of Jurnett and the care she gave.
HCMC also awards Star Partners each month. The Star Partner for July is Carrie Croasmun, HCMC Center for Wellness and Rehab. She was nominated for the following:
- Croasmun was nominated by a fellow partner for her hard work and dedication when the department director was out on medical leave. She took on all assignments smoothly and even provided the entire department with lunch out of her pocket when they had in-service.
