PARIS, TN – Henry County Medical Center is proud to announce that Karen Boase, Office Manager of Paris Pediatrics and Eagle Creek Clinic, was selected as Director of the Quarter at the October Department Directors’ meeting.
Boase was nominated by a fellow partner for her hard work stepping in to help the clinics as interim Physician Clinics Director. Boase is always willing to help anyone and everyone who has a question or a problem. During the past several months, she has gone above & beyond the call of duty by turning around our physician billing department, tackling several large projects and all the while still maintaining her regular job duties with a positive attitude and a smile on her face. She consistently takes the initiative to seek and perform tasks beyond her defined job description, and fosters teamwork to accomplish the mission of our organization in a professional manner. Boase is able and willing to help in any needed area, and her work efforts and tremendous value to our hospital should be recognized.
“Karen is truly a genuine person who believes in those that she works with and strives for the betterment of others and HCMC,” said a fellow partner. “I know for myself personally; she has been a blessing to work with.”
Boase was born and raised in Lake Orion, Michigan and has lived in Paris for the past 12 years. She graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.
Boase has two daughters, Taylor, 18 and Trinity, 15 and has been in a nine-year relationship with Tony Birmingham, who also has two daughters, Justice Parrish and Haley Courcelle, and three grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family and being active. She also enjoys spending time reading and doing crafting projects.
“I appreciate the recognition as Department Director of the Quarter,” said Boase. “I love my job and feel truly honored to work at HCMC, not just because I love what I get to do every day, but because of the amazing people that I get to work with. I could not do my job as efficiently and be as productive as I am without the group of people I have the pleasure of working with.”
HCMC recognizes department leaders every quarter as well as selecting a department leader of the year at the annual Service Awards presentation held in September.
