Cutline: Pictured is HCMC’s Partner of the Month in the Stars of Excellence program, Kim Dempsey, Food and Nutrition
Paris, TN – Henry County Medical Center is pleased to announce that the Partner of the Month of February in the Stars of Excellence Program is Kim Dempsey, Food and Nutrition. Four others were named Star Partners in the program.
Dempsey was nominated by a patient who nominated her for her incredible approach in providing diabetes education. She commended Dempsey for modeling a program to fit her needs and always spending the time she could with her in a very beneficial way. She was professional, courteous, focused attention to detail as well as a wonderful work ethic.
HCMC also awards Star partners each month. The Star Partners for February are Amanda Phelps, HCHC Nursing; Kim Realy, Environmental Services; Craig Peevyhouse, EMS; and Debbie Casterline, Business Office. They were nominated for the following:
- Phelps was nominated by a patient’s daughter for realizing her mother was having a drug reaction and acting quickly to take care of her.
- Realy was nominated by a manager for her positive attitude and for going above and beyond to find a deck of cards for a patient because he enjoyed playing cards and couldn’t see the TV well. She was focused on the patient’s care.
- Peevyhouse was nominated by a partner for finding her father’s dentures and cleaning them up after losing them during an EMS transport to another hospital.
- Casterline was nominated by a manager for her help in gathering information for a project she was working on in a timely manner.
