Henry County Home Health and Hospice is a progressive community home care provider serving the healthcare needs of Henry, Benton, Carroll, Humphreys, Stewart, and Weakley counties. We are a hometown-owned, not-for-profit organization, accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and are licensed and certified by the state of TN.
Henry County Home Health and Hospice is designed to provide the smoothest transition from hospital to home. Patients must be referred to Home Health and must be homebound, need skilled care in the home, and be under the care of a physician. The staff provides valuable physical assessment, evaluation, and instruction for the patient and family, while closely monitoring the patient’s condition with regular reports to his or her physician.
Hospice is support for people with limited life expectancy and their families. We provide a comfortable, supportive environment, ensuring that the quality of life is the best it can be. We pay special attention to the physical, spiritual, and psychological needs of our patients and their families. Hospice patients must be certified by their primary care physician as having limited life expectancy and their physician must agree to manage their care. Referrals to hospice are made by physicians, hospital personnel, patients, family, friends, and clergy.
There is an RN on call 24 hours a day taking care of doctor’s orders. We have social worker counseling for patients and families and also a medical director for consults with physicians and pharmacists for orders on pain control, physical, speech, occupational, and dietary counseling.
There are volunteer services for support, companionship, personal care, and running errands. Contact Carman Wright, MSW, if you would like to train as a volunteer.
Our hospice chaplain can help with spiritual counseling and there is a grief support group meeting monthly.
