The Heart of It All – Healthy You Drive-Thru Event

It's Heart Health Month and the HCMC Medical Clinics want to provide you with ways to keep your family healthy during a drive-thru event where you can receive health information, COVID-19 rapid tests, health kits, and more while supplies last. Event will take place on Tuesday, February 15 at the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce, 2508 East Wood Street, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. or while supplies last. **One kit per family**

New Sign On Bonus for RNs, LPNs, and CNAs! Henry County Healthcare Center to host Onsite Career Fair for open positions!

Henry County Healthcare Center will be hosting an onsite career fair on Thursday, February 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the HCHC Plumley Rehab Lobby. HCHC staff and HCMC HR staff will be on hand to assist those interested in a career at our facility with applications as well as the opportunity to discuss open positions including Registered Nursing, Licensed Practical Nursing, and Certified Nursing Assistant.  Human Resources and Administrative staff can provide information regarding benefits available to those considering a position at HCHC. HCHC is also offering new sign on bonus opportunities including $13,200 for new RNs and LPNS and $3,000 for CNAs.  These bonus opportunities will be discussed at the career fair to those interested with specifics of the opportunities. Chronic Disease Management Screening
7:00am - 11:00am
Our Chronic Disease Management Program offers free screenings including total lipid panel, blood sugar, blood pressure, BMI  and A1c.  If a person has a chronic condition , smokes or is overweight, they can join the program for free. Participants are screened every three months and receive education about their chronic conditions. All patients must be fasting for 8 hours to participate in the screening. Screenings will be done by appointment only to provide social distancing. Masks are required. Lifeline Blood Drive at HCMC

Lifeline Blood Drive Wednesday, February 23rd 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. HCMC will host a Lifeline blood drive on Wednesday, February 23. Times are 9 am – 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 pm – 4 pm. Please make plans to help out with this blood drive.  Blood supply gets critical this time of year. All donors will receive a free t-shirt! Those giving blood will not be entering HCMC, but can access the Lifeline Bloodmobile off the HCMC Cafeteria Patio.  All registration will occur at the Bloodmobile.

Living Well With Chronic Conditions Class- Virtual or In-Person option

The Paris and Henry County Healthcare Foundation will be hosting a FREE virtual Living Well With Chronic Conditions Class. If you or someone you love has health problems such as diabetes, arthritis, cancer, chronic bronchitis, high blood pressure or other chronic diseases, the Living Well with Chronic Conditions Class can help you take control of your life. By participating in a six-session workshop, you will learn ways to:
  • Manage your symptoms
  • Communicate better with your doctor, family members and friends
  • Lessen your anger and frustration
  • Fight fatigue and pain
  • Build confidence
  • Manage stress and learn to relax
  • Discover better nutrition and exercise choices
  • Manage medications
  • Get more out of life!
  Class meets weekly on Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. beginning on Thursday, March 17 for six weeks.  Each participant will receive a FREE book, Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions and a $50 gift card to a local grocery store if attends at least 5 out of the 6 classes. In-person participants will also receive free lunch from the HCMC cafeteria. This class will be offered  online through a virtual link that will be sent to your email address OR in person in the Private Dining Room adjacent to the HCMC cafeteria.
