THA Nurse Preceptor Incentive Program

THA is excited to launch a pilot program to support nurse preceptors in the state of Tennessee. For the pilot, we will provide incentives and professional development opportunities to two cohorts of nurse preceptors. Program evaluation and feedback from the cohort participants will be utilized in developing future recipients.

The goal of the preceptor program is to:

  • Increase the knowledge of preceptors on concepts and theories in learning, communication, and academic preceptorship. (View Coarse Material)
  • Reduce a shortage of clinical settings for students.
  • Increase the number of nurses entering the Tennessee state workforce.

Fall 2024 Cohort

  • August 1, 2024: Nurse Preceptor Cohort Application Opens
  • August 12, 2024: Nurse Preceptor Cohort Application Closes
  • August 16, 2024: Notification of Acceptance to cohort & Nurse Preceptor Incentive Documentation link sent to cohort participants
  • December 6, 2024: Nurse Preceptor Incentive Documentation deadline
  • Incentives distributed by December 31, 2024
